Maxim Heijmerink and Yente Lottman met as prize winners of the Prinses Christina Competition. Already as a teenage duo, they performed together in numerous concert halls across the Netherlands, with one of the highlights being a sold-out concert at the Concertgebouw.

In the years that followed, they toured extensively through Canada and the United States. These formative experiences, combined with a deep shared musical sensitivity, laid the foundation for a lasting musical friendship.

After both pursuing their studies abroad—Yente in London and Maxim in New York—their musical paths now come together again as Duo Heijmerink & Lottman.

Yente recently won second prize at the prestigious Oskar Back Competition, the national violin competition of the Netherlands.
